A Bow White Glazed Piggin or Cream Pail, circa 1752-54
Description
A small, white glazed ceramic vessel identified by an accompanying label as a rare Bow white glazed piggin or cream pail, dating circa 1752-54. The object is crafted from soft-paste porcelain and features an integrated, arched handle. Its form is flared and bucket-like, resting on a circular foot. The exterior is adorned with applied or molded relief decoration depicting floral or foliate motifs, finished with a smooth, glossy white glaze.
