Lot 71:
Two Belleek 'Ivy' Pattern Yellow Lustre Creamers and a Figural Spill Vase, 3rd Black Mark (1926-1946)
Description
A group of three Belleek ceramic items, comprising two ‘Ivy’ pattern creamers and one figural spill vase, all featuring a yellow lustre glaze. The creamers exhibit embossed floral and foliate motifs with distinctive twisted rope-like handles. One creamer bears a clear black stamped mark on its base, featuring a crest above a banner with “Belleek,” encircled by text that includes “CO. FERMANAGH IRELAND,” “BY ROYAL APPOINTMENT,” and “REG. N-0857,” consistent with the 3rd Black Mark period (1926-1946). The second creamer also has a Belleek crest mark, though with less legible surrounding text. The figural piece resembles a stylized open flower or bud emerging from a textured base.
