A Anita Harris'Volcano' Glaze Vase with 'Angel of the North' Decoration
Description
A glazed ceramic vase by Anita harris, featuring their distinctive ‘Volcano’ glaze. The ovoid or globular form has a flattened rim and a dark brown/black glazed interior. The exterior displays a vibrant, multi-tone glaze transitioning from deep red through orange and yellow, with a distinct teal and blue base. One side is decorated with a textured, muted depiction of the ‘Angel of the North’ sculpture. The unglazed base bears a handwritten signature, possibly “St. John” or “SJ”, alongside a stamped motif resembling a bottle or flask with the text “AHAP” below it, and an additional faint green mark.
