Royal Worcester Grainger Potpourri Bowl with Pierced Gilt Cover, circa 1912
Description
A Royal Worcester Grainger porcelain potpourri bowl with a pierced gilt metal cover, dating to circa 1912. The bowl features an off-white/cream glaze with gilt accents. The lid comprises a cream ceramic base surmounted by an ornate, pierced brass or gilt metal overlay in a stylized floral or foliate design, characteristic of the Art Nouveau period. The underside of the bowl is marked “ROYAL WORCESTER ENGLAND” encircling a crowned emblem, accompanied by the inscription “G 930”.
