A Royal Doulton Flambe Glazed Ceramic Footed Flared Vase
Description
A Royal Doulton Flambe glazed ceramic vase of flared form, resting on a multi-footed base. The exterior features a vibrant, mottled “Flambe” glaze in shades of deep red, orange, blue, green, and yellow, with raised floral and scrollwork relief decoration. It incorporates a white, arched handle or support structure. The interior is glazed in a solid red. The underside is clearly marked with “MADE IN ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND FLAMBE” alongside the Royal Doulton crown logo, “STCG” vertically, and an additional stylized “M”. The term “Flambe” (French for “flamed”) refers to the distinctive high-fired, richly colored glaze technique.
