Description

An 18th Century English creamware pottery teapot, attributed to John Howard, featuring a globular body decorated with a classic chinoiserie landscape scene depicting houses, trees, and fences, complete with a C-scroll handle and tapered spout. Accompanied by a blue and white glazed ceramic sauce boat, ornately styled with an organic, wave-like body, decorated with blue marine motifs, and featuring an elaborate, possibly zoomorphic, handle. Both items appear to be porcelain or fine earthenware, consistent with an 18th to 19th-century period. A small, partially illegible paper tag with handwritten text and numbers, such as “14-H-14,” is attached to the sauce boat’s handle.
