Doulton Lambeth Stoneware Mustard Pot, circa 1880s
Description
A Doulton Lambeth Stoneware mustard pot, circa 1880s. This small, lidded ceramic vessel features a handle and a slotted lid, suggesting use with a spoon. It is crafted from glazed stoneware with a multi-colored design incorporating mottled brown, tan, dark blue, and light green hues. The body is decorated with a repeating pattern of light-colored blossoms and heart-shaped leaves, topped by a band of blue glaze with a white scroll motif. The base is impressed with a clear “ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND” maker’s mark, depicting a crown and lion, along with the numbers “6868” and “101.”
