A First Period Worcester Blue and White Sauce Boat, Circa 1770
Description
A First Period Worcester blue and white sauce boat, circa 1770. This white glazed porcelain vessel features a scalloped rim and a molded exterior resembling stylized leaves or shells. The interior and rim are decorated with underglaze cobalt blue floral and foliate motifs. A single loop handle is present on one side, and the vessel stands on three small molded feet. The base reveals a small, faded blue mark, possibly a stylized character or letter, and an old, rectangular paper label with no discernible text.
