A Late 18th/Early 19th Century English Blue and White Pearlware Scalloped Edge Plate
Description
This large ceramic plate or charger is identified as English Pearlware, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, consistent with production from potteries such as Leeds or Liverpool. The tin-glazed earthenware body features a distinctive scalloped rim and is decorated in a blue and white scheme. The broad rim is adorned with stylized dotted patterns, while the central well depicts multiple clusters of blue berry-like fruits or flowers and foliage. No visible text or maker’s marks are present on either the front or the unglazed reverse.
