Description
An Andrew Hull for Burslem Pottery ‘The Bailiff’ Grotesque Bird character jug, dated 2006. This contemporary glazed ceramic jug depicts a whimsical, multi-eyed, bird-like fantastical creature with a prominent reddish-brown beak. It features richly textured feather-like details in variegated earthy tones of brown, green, and blue, standing on an oval base with visible clawed feet. The underside of the base features an impressed mark for “BURSLEM POTTERY” and is hand-signed “Andrew Hull” twice, along with “06 TB” and the initials “AH”.
