Description
A British Liverpool hand painted cobalt and red floral sparrow beak jug, circa 1785. This small ceramic jug, likely porcelain, exhibits an Oriental-inspired decorative scheme in a prominent Imari-style palette of underglaze blue, overglaze iron red/orange, and gilt highlights. The decoration depicts stylized landscapes with pagodas, trees, and figures. The jug bears a label identifying it as from the ‘Redgrave Dolls House’ collection, with a date range of 1780-1800.
