A Coalport Early 19th Century Two-Piece Porcelain Cup and Saucer Set, with Pink and Gilt Foliate Decoration
Description
A Coalport early 19th-century two-piece porcelain tea or coffee cup and saucer set. Both pieces feature a white ground adorned with delicate gilt floral sprays and foliage. These are bordered by a broad band of soft pink, which displays a repeating foliate pattern. The set is finished with solid gold rims and bands. The cup is designed with a simple loop handle, also detailed with gilding. The undersides of both the cup and saucer are marked in red with ‘2 / 125′. The saucer also carries a small white rectangular sticker with ’10’ written on it.
