A Liverpool Pennington porcelain bowl, circa 1780. The white porcelain bowl features a molded fluted exterior with applied or relief floral decoration, accented by a blue-painted patterned band at the rim and sporadic blue highlights on the floral motifs. The interior is plain white with a similar blue-painted patterned border near the rim and a small, stylized blue floral or leaf motif in the center. Visible markings include a circular “PRIVATE COLLECTION” sticker on the interior base, and on the exterior base, a “ROBERT C JELLICOE” collection sticker, a green circular sticker with a number, and a white rectangular sticker detailing “Pcs – 100,” “Net weight 1.5 lbs,” “No. S/17,” “Royal China B&W Tea & Coffee Set – Plates Cups Bowls,” and dimensions “3.5 x 3.5,” with a handwritten price of “$195.00.”
