Shell Edge Pearlware Grape Leaf Condiment Dish, Circa 1750-1820
Description
A Shell Edge Pearlware Grape Leaf Condiment Dish, circa 1750-1820. This decorative, leaf-shaped ceramic dish features an off-white or cream ground with hand-painted or transfer-printed blue decoration outlining the scalloped rim and forming tendril-like veins on the surface. The dish exhibits impressed naturalistic veining and a small, integrated handle-like protrusion on one side. The underside reveals three raised, rosette-shaped feet. The material is glazed earthenware.
