An 18th Century Worcester Porcelain Pickle Dish, circa 1780
Description
An 18th Century Worcester porcelain pickle dish, of irregular, organic form with an undulating rim. The dish is decorated in underglaze blue and white with botanical motifs, including flowering branches and a butterfly or insect, bordered by delicate scrollwork on the rim. The underside features an elongated oval footrim and subtle fluting. A faint, illegible mark is present within the footrim area.
