Lot 131:
Early 19th Century English Staffordshire Pearlware Blue Feather Edge Sauce Boat
Description
An Early 19th Century English Staffordshire Pearlware sauce boat. This white, footed ceramic vessel features a pronounced spout and an elaborately scrolled handle. The body exhibits a relief-molded pattern suggesting stylized feathers or waves, while the rim, spout, and handle are accented with a distinct royal blue painted trim. The design, particularly the handle, suggests a Rococo-inspired style. The material appears to be fine earthenware with a pearlware glaze. No manufacturer’s marks or text are visible on the exterior or interior.
