A Group of Five Glazed Ceramic Floral Vessels
Description
This lot comprises five glazed ceramic vessels: three graduated pitchers, one tall hexagonal vase, and one spherical pot. The three pitchers are uniformly decorated with a vibrant, chintz-like pattern featuring large red and pink roses, interspersed with smaller purple and blue flowers and green foliage, all set against a white ground. The hexagonal vase and the spherical pot showcase a distinct, possibly Imari or Chinoiserie-inspired, multi-color floral pattern with prominent blue, orange, pink, and yellow flowers and foliage on a cream ground; the vase additionally features gold trim along its rim. Faint, illegible impressed or painted markings are visible on the side of the largest pitcher and the spherical pot, but no translatable language is discernible.
