Description
A Priory style oak court cupboard sideboard, constructed in two parts. The base unit features two paneled doors and two drawers, all adorned with carved details. The upper cabinet section comprises two central solid panel doors flanked by two outer glazed doors, each with leaded-effect muntins, supported by substantial turned columns. The piece is crafted from oak, exhibiting a prominent grain, and displays robust Jacobean Revival or Arts & Crafts stylistic elements, including deeply carved accents and fielded panels. A circular enamelled badge, depicting a white rose with green leaves on a dark background, recognizable as the White Rose of York, is present on the upper right side.
