A Pair of Victorian Silver-Topped and Cut-Glass Scent Bottles
Description
This lot comprises two Victorian cut-glass scent bottles. The item on the left is a faceted cut-glass scent bottle with a multi-faceted domed glass stopper, featuring a black collar at its neck. The item on the right is a cylindrical cut-glass container with vertical fluting, topped by a domed silver cap. The silver cap exhibits a series of small stamped hallmarks along its lower rim, consistent with Charles May & Son, Birmingham, circa 1891. When the metal cap is removed, a clear glass internal stopper with a small handle is revealed.
