Collett & Anderson Sterling Silver and Tortoiseshell Snuff Box
Description
A Sterling Silver and Tortoiseshell Snuff Box by Collett & Anderson. This small, round lidded box features a silver-colored metal base and a tortoiseshell lid. The lid is adorned with an ornate, stylized silver-colored metal inlay depicting a central staff-like element flanked by what appear to be anchors or stylized ‘A’s, intertwined with ribbons. The interior of the box is gilded. Visible partial hallmarks on the side of the metal body appear to read ‘S.A G LTD’.
