Description
A sterling silver caddy from the George III period, featuring a teardrop-shaped bowl with a hand-hammered finish on both surfaces. The bowl transitions to a twisted stem that terminates in a spherical finial. The reverse of the bowl bears hallmarks including a crowned leopard’s head for the London assay office, a lion passant denoting sterling standard silver, and a capital letter ‘Z’ within a square cartouche, indicating the date letter for 1800-1801.
