Description
A circular antique pin cushion, crafted from Silver, featuring a ‘bun form’ base by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. The silver base is hallmarked with the maker’s mark ‘G&S Ld’, a lion passant indicating sterling silver, a crown for the Sheffield Assay Office, and a script lowercase ‘g’ date letter, corresponding to the year 1899. The top is fitted with a dark, woven textile cushion, possibly black or navy blue.
