A 19th Century Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Lidded Box
Description
A rectangular blue and white porcelain lidded box, displaying an East Asian aesthetic. The lid is decorated with a central design of two stylized mythical beasts or dragons facing each other, set within a geometric fretwork border, while the lid’s sides feature blue and white scrollwork. The interior is white glazed. The unglazed base reveals a faint, vertically oriented four-character mark, “æ˜¥è‹‘å ‚è£½” (ChÅ«n Yuà n Táng zhì), tentatively translating to “Made for/at Spring Garden Hall”.
