A. G. Harley-Jones Wilton Ware Lustre Vase, Decorated with a Moth
Description
An A. G. Harley-Jones Wilton Ware lustre vase. This ceramic vase features a flask-shaped lower body tapering to a flared neck and rim, resting on a flat circular foot. The body has a speckled light blue ground glaze, decorated with a large, stylized moth or hawk-moth rendered in gold, blue, red, and yellow enamels, alongside a smaller floral motif of pink blossoms and green leaves. The base bears a black printed mark of a crown above a bird, encircled by the text “A.C.H.J. IND.” and “STOKE ON TRENT WILTON WARE,” with additional handwritten or stamped numbers “NC3” and “5072.”
