A Moorcroft Pottery Clematis Pattern Lamp Base
Description
A Moorcroft Pottery ‘Clematis’ pattern lamp base, crafted from ceramic and glazed in a deep cobalt blue. The rounded, footed body tapers to a narrower neck, decorated with large, stylized floral motifs in shades of olive green, yellow, deep red, and purple, characteristic of the Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts movements. The top is fitted with a brass-toned metal light socket. The underside of the base bears an impressed mark, partially obscured but reading “MADE IN ENGLAND” in an arc, alongside a single impressed “P”.
