Description
A group of three Victorian Black Forest carved wood desk accessories. The collection includes a dark-stained wooden rocker blotter, featuring a carved floral motif on its domed top and a brass-toned handle base. It opens to reveal a compartment. Also present is a small decorative book, possibly a diary or address book, with a dark cover embellished with a hand-painted or transfer-printed floral bouquet (roses) and gold tooling. It opens to reveal plain or lightly lined pages and blue patterned endpapers. Completing the group is a brass or bronze wax seal, with an ornate handle and a circular base bearing an intricate, unidentifiable embossed design. All pieces display visible wear consistent with age and use.
