A Victorian Silver Topped Porcelain Scent Bottle
Description
A Victorian silver topped porcelain scent bottle, of flattened oval-shaped flask form. The white porcelain body is decorated in blue and white transferware, featuring a traditional ‘Willow Pattern’ or Chinoiserie landscape scene on the main face, enclosed by a patterned border. The sides display a repeating geometric lattice pattern. It is fitted with a silver screw-top cap. A handwritten inventory number ‘P1 29260’ is present on the ceramic body. Indistinct stamped hallmarks are visible on the metal cap.
