A Pair of Victorian/Edwardian Rococo-Revival Silver Pierced Serving Spoons, in a Case by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, London Made By William Cummings
Description
This lot comprises a pair of ornate, pierced serving spoons or strainers, crafted from silver by William Cummings in a Rococo-revival style. The decoration includes intricate floral motifs, scrollwork, lattice patterns, and stylized ‘S’-like monograms within their bowls, along with a bird motif on one. A small ‘W.C.’ mark is visible on one handle. The spoons are presented in a fitted velvet-lined case, the interior lid of which is stamped in gold with ‘PRIZE MEDAL MANUFACTURING GOLDSMITHS SILVERSMITHS COMPANY 112 REGENT ST LONDON’.
