Description
An Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co. Tudric pewter and enamel lidded box, model 0194. Constructed from a silver-toned pewter alloy with a matte finish, the rectangular form features curved lower sides. The body is decorated with embossed geometric patterns resembling padded squares, accented by three vibrant blue-green textured glass or enamel cabochon inserts on the front. The removable flat lid is centered with a raised circular element and two parallel bar-shaped handles. The design is characteristic of the Arts and Crafts or Art Nouveau period. The base is clearly stamped ‘TUDRIC’ above the number ‘0194’.
