A Pair of Antique Brass boxes , comprising a Horseshoe Snuff Box and an Engraved Oval Box
Description
A pair of antique brass boxes. The larger box is shaped like a horse’s hoof, featuring a raised horseshoe and frog design on its hinged lid, consistent with an antique snuff box. The smaller, oval-shaped box has an engraved script on its hinged lid, possibly reading “A. Mary Radcliffe” or “A. Marg. Radcliffe,” encircled by a dotted border. Both boxes are crafted from metal, likely brass or bronze, and exhibit front clasps. Their interiors show similar patination.
