Three Vintage Silver Nursing Badges, P. Dean
Description
A group of three vintage silver nursing badges, all engraved ‘P. DEAN’ on their reverse. The first, a shield-shaped badge, features alternating quadrants with a lamp of knowledge and a harp. It is marked ‘GBS’ and ‘STERLING’ on the reverse. The second, an octagonal design, displays a central Welsh dragon and is inscribed ‘MERTHYR & CYNON VALLEY SCHOOL OF NURSING’ along its border. This badge is marked ‘1974-76’ and ‘STERLING’ on the reverse. The third, a circular/oval form, depicts a red cross on a green field, with a harp, rose, caduceus, and a grid pattern in its quadrants, with partially visible text ‘BRISTOL UNITED HOSPITALS’. This badge is also marked ‘STERLING’ on the reverse. All items are confirmed to be Silver.
