Description
A vintage Merrythought mohair teddy bear, likely dating from the mid-20th century. This jointed bear is constructed from light brown mohair fur with contrasting dark brown felt paw and foot pads. It features a stitched nose and mouth, and dark eyes with a reddish backing. A cream-colored fabric label on the sole of its left foot reads “MERRYTHOUGHT LTD,” “IRONBRIDGE SHROPS.” (Shropshire), and “MADE IN ENGLAND.”
