Lot 130:
A Large Collection of Mixed Ceramic and Porcelain Teaware and Decorative Objects
Description
A diverse collection of ceramic and porcelain items, exhibiting a mixed stylistic heritage, ranging from East Asian-inspired teaware to European-style decorative pieces. The collection includes several East Asian-inspired teapots and matching cups, notably one in vibrant yellow adorned with polychrome figures in a landscape, and another in dark grey with gilded mythical creatures. A significant group of white ceramic spoons features classic blue underglaze pagoda and landscape motifs, characteristic of traditional Chinese export ware. Also present are various cups and saucers with European-style floral patterns and gilt accents, a miniature tea set, and decorative openwork baskets. Completing the array are two slender white vases with subtle gold-leaf designs, several textured white sculptural objects, and a modern white mug partially inscribed “SUCCESSES… MARCH 20”. The assortment suggests pieces ranging from possibly early to mid-20th century traditional Asian export to more contemporary decorative items.
