Description
A collection of mixed metalware, primarily gold-toned brass or similar alloy, with one apparent copper piece. The central item is a rectangular mirror set in an ornate, floral-embossed gold-toned frame, surmounted by a detailed relief of a sailing ship. Surrounding the mirror are a large hammered oval brass serving tray, a smaller hammered oval copper dish, a square brass ashtray with a central raised stag’s head motif, a brass shoehorn, and a small ornate brass spoon or scoop with a decorative handle. A distinct round brass decorative plate features an engraved central image of an eagle perched on a cactus consuming a snake, a motif emblematic of Mexico, framed by a patterned border.
