Description
A framed color etching by Carl Josef Bauer (1897-1989), depicting a stylized, partially colored portrait of a blonde woman with a fur collar. Inscribed “Original engraving” and signed “Nobby C.J. Bauer” in script below the image. Presented in a dark frame with a light pink mat.
Accompanied by a framed 18th or 19th-century black-and-white engraving, featuring a classical portrait of a young woman seated within an elaborate oval cartouche adorned with scrollwork. Inscribed “Painted by R. P. Poole” and “Engraved by J. Maclaren” on the left, “Engraved by J. Payne” on the right, and titled “Stella Corona” centrally. Set in a dark, ornate frame.
