A 20th Century giltwood overmantel mirror, rectangular in form, featuring architectural styling reminiscent of classical revival periods. It incorporates a prominent dark top surface, likely slate or polished wood, above a heavily ornamented gilded frame. The frame displays classical elements such as fluted columns with shell motif capitals, egg-and-dart molding, and an elaborate central cartouche adorned with scrolling foliage and acanthus-like ornamentation. The primary material is carved or molded wood with a gold gilt finish. A small white sticker with the number “102” is visible on the dark top surface.
