Description
An early to mid-20th century ornamental wall mirror, featuring a distinct irregular shield-like or inverted scallop shape. The mirror glass has a beveled edge and is set within a dark-toned metal frame, likely cast iron or a bronzed base metal, which exhibits an aged patina. The frame is adorned with a prominent, ornate crest at the top, displaying a central shell or fan motif flanked by scrolling foliate designs. Similar, smaller embellishments are present at the upper corners. No manufacturer’s marks or distinct textual inscriptions are discernible on the item itself. A modern, circular white and blue sticker with a stylized logo (resembling an ‘A’ or ‘Lambda’), likely an inventory tag, is reflected in the glass.
