An Antique Pine and Metal Bound Box with Embroidered Interior Pouch
Description
A rectangular, rustic box or small chest, constructed from plank pine, reinforced with dark metal straps across the lid and on all eight corners, secured by a front-mounted metal clasp. The interior features a fixed, shallow wooden tray along one side, and a gathered fabric pouch attached to the underside of the lid. The pouch is adorned with colorful embroidery depicting floral designs and a small figurative motif. A white adhesive label on the front displays “HAMPUS GULDENSJÄRNA AB,” “75,” “2019-03-24,” and “FÖRS. 38.”
