Lot 33:
A Collection of Silver Items, including an Art Deco Cigarette Case, Candlestick, and Georgian And Victorian Decanter Labels
Description
A collection of silver items, comprising a rectangular hinged cigarette or card case, a single candlestick, and two chain-hung decanter labels. The cigarette case features vertical ribbed decoration and an unengraved reserve. Its interior displays sterling silver hallmarks including a maker’s mark, a lion passant, an anchor assay office mark (Birmingham), and a date letter, indicative of late 19th to early 20th-century production. A white sticker on the case reads “33” and “85-50”. The classic-style candlestick is marked “TRW” and “FILLED” on its base, alongside a lion passant hallmark and an assay mark, confirming its weighted silver construction. The two chain-hung decanter labels include one bean-shaped example, engraved “WHISKY”, with visible sterling hallmarks on its reverse, and a rectangular label with a decorative border, engraved “BRANDY”. The items are crafted from Silver and collectively present a traditional style, likely from the late 19th to early 20th century.
