A Collection of Vintage and Antique Postcards, Photographs, and Books
Description
A collection comprising a large, disorganized pile of ephemera, predominantly paper and cardstock postcards and photographs, dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century. Visible items among the ephemera include a black and white photograph of a man in formal attire, various illustrated postcards such as “Welsh Women at Tea at Newport,” and others with text like “WISH YOU WERE HERE” (handwritten), “ALWAYS OPEN DAY & NIGHT,” and “St. Ives.” One card features French text, “IL NE FAUT PAS CROIRE DE MES SENTIMENTS” (You must not believe my feelings). The lot also includes one large, upright book or binder bound in dark reddish-brown material, possibly leather, with a vertical gold-colored stripe on its spine. Additionally, there are several hardcover books, including one with a dark cover partially legible as “BISHOP OF MÜNS,” another titled “THE NORTHERN,” and a green book displaying colorful heraldic shields and partially visible text, “FAMOUS FAMILY.”
