Poole Pottery Five-Piece Seafood Hors d'oeuvre Set
Description
A Poole Pottery five-piece seafood hors d’oeuvre set, dating to the mid-20th century. This circular, segmented ceramic serving platter features a removable central bowl and four surrounding segments. The cream-colored surface is decorated with vibrant, stylized hand-painted or transfer-printed aquatic motifs, including fish, crustaceans, and a bird, in purple, green, orange, and blue hues, accented by green dotted borders. The underside bears an impressed manufacturer’s mark ‘POOLE ENGLAND’ and a handwritten notation ’71 / K42′.
