Description
A pair of glazed porcelain figurines by Lladro, comprising ‘A Mother’s Treasure’ (model #8294) and a figurine depicting a young girl with doves. The ‘A Mother’s Treasure’ figurine features a standing young girl with blonde hair, dressed in a light blue and white dress, cradling a swaddled figure. The second figurine depicts a young girl with light brown hair, dressed in a blue-accented white dress, kneeling on a white bench while tending to three white doves: two perched on the bench and one in mid-flight beside her. Both figures exhibit a delicate, smooth, and naturalistic style with soft, muted coloring. Visible markings on the undersides of both figures include a blue ‘LLADRÓ’ backstamp with ‘MADE IN SPAIN’. The bench figure also displays alphanumeric codes such as ‘D-29X’ and ‘01007676’ (partially visible), along with handwritten notations like ‘224 D6’ and ‘NOB’. An auction tag for ‘Shelbys Auctioneers LLC’ numbered ’22’ is affixed to the bench, with another tag displaying ‘8356’.
