An Antique Chas. P. Kellogg & Co. No. 1 Cast Iron and Brass Coffee Mill
Description
A Chas. P. Kellogg & Co. No. 1 table-top coffee mill, constructed with a black painted cast iron rectangular body and a prominent brass bean hopper and drawer knob. The cast iron top surface is embossed with the text “PATENTED”. An oval brass plaque adorning the front of the body is embossed with decorative elements and the discernible text “CHAS. P. KELLOGG & CO. MANUFACTURERS NO. 1 COFFEE-MILL”. A black hand-crank with a wooden handle is mounted on top. A drawer, with the brass knob, is positioned at the base for collecting ground coffee.
