A Collection of Seven Antique Pewter Wares
Description
A collection of seven items, predominantly appearing to be pewter due to their dull, silvery-grey color and matte finish, exhibiting an aged patina. The assortment includes a large circular plate, a tall lidded shaker, a smaller lidded shaker, a rectangular lidded box, and two small handled mugs. The reverse of the plate bears several impressed marks, including the distinct character ‘ä½™’ (yú). The lid of the rectangular box features a faint, circular impressed emblem or mark. Alongside these metal objects is a small, round white button, likely ceramic or plastic, clearly inscribed with “W S & S”, “CREAM OF TARTAR”, “REFINED”, and “PATTERN”.
