Description
An antique Wolf Safety Lamp Co. Patterson miners safety lamp, exhibiting a cylindrical form with a vented dome top and a heavy-duty carrying hook. It is constructed from ferrous metal (likely steel or iron) forming the top and base, and brass or bronze for the mid-section and structural elements surrounding the clear glass globe. Visible engravings on the brass band state “WOLF SAFETY LAMP CO.” and “WOLF PATTERSON.” An oval brass plaque on the top is stamped with the marking “S.205.”
