Lot 141:
A Group of Glenfiddich Special Reserve Scotch Whisky Bottles and Tubes
Description
This lot comprises a group of two green glass Glenfiddich Special Reserve Scotch Whisky bottles of differing sizes, each sealed with a gold-colored cap, accompanied by their corresponding cylindrical presentation tubes. The items feature consistent black, gold, red, and white labels displaying the “Glenfiddich” brand name and a stag emblem. One bottle and its tube are identified as “Single Malt Scotch Whisky,” while the smaller bottle’s tube specifies “Pure Malt Scotch Whisky.” Visible markings include “Product of Scotland,” “Authentic Highland Malt,” “Made Without Compromise,” and historical dates such as “Established 1887” and “First Distilled on Christmas Day 1887” on the smaller tube. A crest with the motto “STAND FAST” is present on the bottle necks and the larger tube. These characteristics, particularly the “Pure Malt” designation and historical dates, align with older, possibly discontinued, bottlings of Glenfiddich Special Reserve, consistent with market research identifying “Special Old Reserve” and 1970s discontinued bottlings.
