An Assortment of Vintage Faux-Tortoiseshell and Guilloche Enamel Dressing Table Accessories
Description
An assortment of vintage vanity dressing table items and fashion accessories. The collection includes a faux-tortoiseshell or celluloid brush set comprising three pieces with inset natural bristles: a large hairbrush, a smaller hand brush, and a rectangular clothes brush. The large hairbrush features a gold-toned octagonal insert enclosing a stylized monogram containing the characters E, M, and D arranged inside the frame, while the smaller brush and clothes brush feature smaller, overlapping gold-toned intertwined script characters that are not legible as a name. Also included is a small oval vanity brush featuring a bright pink engine-turned (guilloche) enamel reverse decorated with a white dot pattern, set within a silver-toned metal rim. The collection further features a selection of faux-tortoiseshell accessories, including a miniature guitar-shaped decorative object, a large plain oval buckle or slide with a central bar, and a shaped oval hair comb or slide featuring molded floral openwork decoration.
