A Pair of English Barley-Twist Oak and Brass Candlesticks
Description
A pair of English barley-twist candlesticks in the 17th-century revival style. Each piece features a circular turned oak base with concentric ring detailing, supporting a hand-carved barley-twist stem. The stems terminate in turned capitals fitted with removable or integrated brass sconces. The oak is finished with a dark stain to highlight the grain. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible. A temporary adhesive label with the number 9777 is present on one stem.
