A collection of books and periodicals primarily focused on the history of British railways and steam locomotives. The group comprises a mix of hardcover and softcover formats. Notable hardback volumes include Steam Tales from the Footplate by Colin G. Maggs, British Railways Steam in Retrospect by Eric Oldham, O. S. Nock on Steam, British Steam Railways by David Ross, British Steam: The Golden Age of Steam by J. N. Westwood, Steaming Through Britain by Miles Kington and Alain Le Garsmeur (Unwin Hyman), and Classic Trains by Nicholas Faith (Boxtree).
