Edwardian Mahogany Display Cabinet with Glass Shelves
Description
An Edwardian mahogany display cabinet constructed in the George III revival style. The piece features a pair of doors with shaped astragal glazing bars arranged in an overlapping arch pattern. The central meeting stiles are decorated with a continuous carved Greek key border, and the upper frieze is ornamented with a band of vertical fluting. The interior is fitted with glass shelves. The unit is supported by four square tapered legs and includes a central brass-lined keyhole. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
